I totally thought he was talking to the other guy from that old drake and Josh show right up until they mentioned Mean Creek. Absolutely hated his character in that.

I'm coming back to this after a few years, and am realizing that the fact that Macaulay bringing up multiple times that he hates the Last Jedi and RLM bringing up that their fans say they didn't "hate it enough" aren't unrelated. And I believe the connecting factor is that they (RLM) as a channel have built up so much trust amongst their fan base over the years, that their fans expect them to give some voice to their feelings that something feels bad or off in a clearly bad movie. They aren't as eloquent as the RLM lads are and don't have the platform, so they seek some validation. A good and bad thing and lends itself to parasocial weirdness for sure. But to hear over and over and over and over from these guys that simply "being different" keeps a movie from being the pile of shit it is (and Mac keeps trying to assert) is a little bit of a disappointment, and it feels like "oh ...it doesn't matter if I can make an equally long and thorough takedown video of the Last Jedi for sucking as much ass as the prequel films; these guys may have just had a personal grudge all along". Like as much as we love RLM, they have their foibles. They cannot hear even for one moment that the Last Jedi might be a worse movie than any prequel movie. It's kinda irksome to me, because how many times do they say they're done with Star Wars, but they will fight tooth and nail against anybody who defends a single element of a prequel film, and are sort of on that edge of becoming people who say "George Lucas ruined a part of my childhood." They literally interviewed the guy who made The People vs. George Lucas after all. It's the same reason they'll skip just about any movie that their audience actually would like to see them review (because they're fans and that's what fans do) just to see the 11th time they complain about a Ghostbusters or Terminator project being ass. They're kinda dead set on IP's that have become boring and still talk about them endlessly. As much as we think schlock is funny. Schlock is still bad. Hearing the boys say it makes something good 10 billion times doesn't make it a fact. Just a thought.

I really enjoyed the Star Trek discussion but was disappointed at the lack of DS9.

This episode is making me think Macaulay should challenge Mike at Star Trek trivia.

Unless i missed it they didn't mention silent hill while talking about games made into movies. I liked it anyway.

I remember watching Freddy Got Fingered somewhere around 2009, after doing an online search for the top 10 worst movies of all time. I absolutely loved it and I'm glad people are starting to appreciate it now. After that I watched the MTV show and it's also excellent. Kinda sad there's not more stuff like that these days, just surreal, silly and somewhat offensive humor. Sure there are some things like the Greasy strangler or Beef house but I crave the musicality of it. I'm talking longmont potion castle level shit here kid.
